We’ve been getting a lot of questions about using AI image generators to visualise exhibition stands before briefing a designer.
So we’ve put together a detailed prompt that gives you realistic, proportionate, exhibition-ready renders using the most capable image generation tools available right now, including lighting, crowd context, and spatial scale that actually reflects what a stand feels like in a live venue, and critically, a structure that a real crew could actually build.
Our designers will always produce something more precise, more buildable, and more aligned to your brand, because they are working from your actual brief, your actual budget, and two decades of knowledge about what works on a real show floor. But we also believe in giving you tools that make your thinking sharper, whatever route you take.
If you want the proper version, the one built around your brand, your show, and your objectives, you know where we are.
A few notes before you use it:
This prompt has been structured to produce renders that reflect what is actually buildable at your budget level, not a fantasy stand that would cost three times what you have.
Fill in the [BRACKETS], pick your budget tier from the guide below, and drop the completed prompt into your AI tool of choice.
And if you want visuals built around your actual brief, your brand guidelines, and a designer who has built thousands of stands and knows what works on a real show floor, you know where we are.
The Prompt Template
“Can you create a photorealistic architectural visualisation of a trade show exhibition stand for [BRAND NAME] – [WEBSITE]
(Attach brand guidelines and brand information) – please consider security here, only share what you feel you need to.
Stand dimensions: [WIDTH]m wide x [DEPTH]m deep x [HEIGHT]m tall
Budget tier: [SEE TIERS BELOW paste in the descriptor for your tier]
Industry sector: [e.g. SaaS technology / healthcare / manufacturing / professional services]
Primary brand colour: [HEX CODE or colour description]
Secondary brand colour: [HEX CODE or colour description]
Stand features to include: [CHOOSE FROM THE FEATURE LIST BELOW BASED ON YOUR BUDGET TIER]
The stand should appear as it would look on a real exhibition floor, with:
– Accurate overhead venue lighting (mixed warm LED spotlights and cool ambient ceiling wash)
– Two to three visitors visible near or on the stand to convey realistic human scale
– A neighbouring stand partially visible on the left and right to contextualise the space
– Polished concrete or carpet exhibition floor in [light grey / dark grey / blue / black]
– Clean, professional brand graphics on the fascia, no illegible placeholder text
– Realistic material finishes: [SEE MATERIAL GUIDE BELOW]
– Slight depth of field blur on background to keep focus on the stand
Camera angle: three-quarter perspective from slightly above eye level, showing the full front face and one side of the stand.
Style: architectural product visualisation, not a render farm CGI, think high-end exhibition industry photography rather than gaming engine aesthetics. Sharp, well-lit, commercially credible. Do not include: neon signs, floating text, impossible structural cantilevers, or any features that would require a budget above [£X use your actual budget figure].”

Tips for Better Results
Be specific about what you do NOT want.
The negative instruction at the end of the prompt (“do not include…”) is often the most important line. AI tools will default to spectacular-looking but physically impossible structures if you do not constrain them.
Run the prompt 3–4 times and compare outputs.
AI renders vary significantly between generations, the first result is rarely the best one.
Use it as a conversation starter, not a final output.
The best use of an AI render is to walk into a briefing conversation with a direction, not a decision. Show it to your stand builder as a reference point, not a specification.
If you want the real thing, our expert designers are on hand, they can design an accurate and buildable concept around your brand and your brief.
