Putting LINKTOUR in the Driver’s Seat

LINKTOUR were launching for the first time on British soil, so needed to make a big impression on their debut at The British Motor Show. By the end of the show, they had been on the evening news.

Tecna were the obvious choice for this challenge, with our local proximity to the venue, and market-leading customer experience, we created a stand that also functioned as a car showroom, right at the front of the show at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

A Wide Open Space Right at the Entrance

A 15m x 15m open format island stand right at the entrance gave LINKTOUR’s compact ALUMI range the exact space it needed to the star of the show. Every car sat inside its own specialised area.

Each car had its’ own lightbox backdrop to highlight it’s uses in a home urban environment, a premium acrylic sign sat in front of each ca

The ALUMI Range’s design is a fusion of three inspirations:

  • Alluminio (Alluminium): Paying tribute to their innovative full-aluminium body technology
  • Lume (Light): Illuminiating every journey of future mobility
  • Amico (Companion): The most caring urban travel partner

We took these design inspirations and translated them into a brand environment that represented them perfectly. Aluminium and Chrome inspired wall and counter finishes, accompanied by lighting complimentary to the design.

We acted as LINKTOUR’s strategic exhibition partner and extension of their team for the build, taking the time to understand their brand and objectives to create the exhibition stand that represented them best.

Accomodating All Kinds of Conversation

LINKTOUR needed their space to be ready for all types of engagement with their new market and potential customers. To accomodate this, we designed the stand to have a welcome desk, casual seating and hospitality areas for informal discussions, as well as a private meeting room, so LINKTOUR could adapt to their visitors in real time, whether that be a quick exchange by the car displays or commercial discussions held in private in the meeting room.

The Build

We combined our modular system with our bespoke capability, to build important features on the stand, including signage, backdrops, and an eye-catching welcome desk, the whole stand was crafted with a chrome finish, giving it a high-end metallic shine, making the stand look sleek and professional.

First impressions set the tone for everything that follow, with that in mind we made the chrome welcome desk, with LED Halo lighting tracing the edges and LINKTOUR logo sitting proudly in the middle.

The quality of this desk showed LINKTOUR are a brand to be taken seriously.

Objectives Achieved

LINKTOUR’s presence was exactly what they wanted, and what we designed for, a smart showroom that was unmissable at The British Motor Show. The stand enjoyed constant footfall and interest, the reveal of their ALUMI cars was covered on BBC South Today, who ran the stand live on its 6.30pm bulletin.

A launch built for one show floor ended up on television screens across an entire region, one of many ways an exhibition stand has impact outside of the show hall.

LINKTOUR arrived in the UK asking to be taken seriously. We successfully designed and built them a stand that made sure of it.
