2007

The beginning of something bold

Tecna UK was born from a big idea and a small bedroom. With exclusive UK & Ireland rights to the revolutionary T3 modular system, CEO and founder Simeon Wicks saw an opportunity to disrupt the exhibition world. Armed with samples, passion, and a relentless drive to succeed, he built the foundations of a business that would redefine modular event builds and James Longley, now our MD, became the first employee.

2010

Growing fast, thinking bigger

With demand soaring, Tecna levelled up with a move to its first premises in Chertsey.  More stock, faster service, and the game-changing introduction of pre-builds giving clients total confidence before their stands even hit the show floor.

2012

Scaling up, stepping forward

Growth was unstoppable. Outgrowing our first space, we moved to a larger facility in Thorpe, making room for a growing team and expanding services including install and project management.

2014

Innovating from the inside out
Now with years of hands-on experience, we developed our own in-house additions to the system, expanding creative possibilities, and pushing T3 beyond its original limits.

2016

Expansion and elevation
Bigger ideas, bigger space. A move to a 20,000 sq ft HQ in Farnborough marked a new era, introducing expert installation and dedicated support for our partners. More than just a supplier, we became a true extension of our clients’ teams, driving success together.

2020

Adapting, innovating, leading
When the world paused, we pivoted. TecnaCare was born, delivering premium social distancing solutions across the country. Combining design expertise with rapid problem-solving, we helped businesses stay open, safe, and confident in uncertain times.

2022

Back with a bang
Events roared back, and so did we. Our new customer showroom showcased what’s possible, and we restarted where we left off, delivering seamless, high-impact spaces for exhibitions, brand activations, retail, and more. Design, build, and delivery excellence remained at our core, and our team grew rapidly to accommodate an increased demand for our unrivalled products and services.

2024

Sustainability, not just a buzzword
2024 was a huge year for Tecna and its sustainability goals. We installed solar panels, generating 85% of our energy and cutting 1,360,000kg CO2e from the environment. Our commitment earned us ISO 20121, Tier 5 ESSA Sustainability Accreditation, and Gold status in the Better Stands Program, leading the charge in sustainable event design.
